Reissuance of Comodo certificates

When you have a new CSR code, please login to your Account panel and proceed to Dashboard or Domain List section:
reissue1

All the domain names in your perkyrabbit space account are displayed here along with all other services, including SSL certificates.

Locate the domain name for which you have an issued COMODO SSL certificate and click on the caret to expand the list of services:

Locate the certificate in question and click on Manage.

Note, you can easily define COMODO SSL certificate from a Certificate of another brand by the red padlock icon.

To start the reissue you need to select the corresponding option from the dropdown menu in See details:

We do recommend you download the existing issued SSL certificate and save it prior to starting the reissue process.

Further procedures are similar to original activation of certificate:

  • Enter CSR code provided by your hosting company
  • Enter SAN fields (or purchase additional SANs, and then proceed with Reissue)*
  • Select web-server type SSL certificate will be installed on after the reissue is completed
  • Select DCV (Domain Control Validation) method to confirm the domain ownership: E-mail, HTTP-based or DNS-based one
  • Fill in administrative contact information for the certificate.

Note, the administrative contact Email section is greyed out and the new E-mail address cannot be entered. The reason is quite obvious: since this is a reissue, this information(E-mail address to deliver a certificate file) has already been submitted to the CA databases. Unfortunately, reissue process will not allow you to change this address. However, you will be able to download the certificate in your account after the reissue is completed.

The approval email is to be delivered to approval address shortly after you finish activation process. If you do not receive the email in 2 hours, please refer to instructions provided in What should I do if approval email was not delivered? article. When you confirm the issuance by following link in approval email you should receive the signed certificate to the administrative email address you indicated during the activation.

In case of HTTP-based or DNS-based validation, you need to upload a text file into the root directory of your website or create a special CNAME record in the DNS host records of your domain name respectively. The file and CNAME record values will be available in the account area after the reissue is submitted. Processing of order by Certification Authority may take about 2 hours. If certificate is not delivered in 2 hours please review I have not received my SSL certificate troubleshooter for help.

*In case you have a Multi-domain SSL Certificate.
